Research by the company showed that sound rhythm matters more to listeners than actual mechanical tones. Engineers discovered this characteristic by using two massive parabolic speakers during development. The team found that slight imperfections in engine firing orders mimic human drummers.

The Torcal will recreate these natural rhythms rather than synthesizing artificial combustion noises. Bentley believes this strategy will capture the emotional appeal of a gas engine. This system marks a major shift in how Electric Vehicles generate sound.
