BYD Denza Z9S Sedan Unveiled With Long Range Capability

's premium brand Denza has revealed the first official images of its upcoming Z9S sedan. Regulatory filings in have also exposed the technical details, showing a maximum electric driving range of up to 920 km.

Shorter Dimensions For The New Sedan

Official images show the new Z9S finished in a special paint scheme called "Dawn Purple". Denza describes the vehicle as a technology luxury intelligent sedan aimed at premium buyers.

Government filings show the Z9S is more compact than the existing Denza Z9 model. The new car measures 5,090 mm long with a 3,025 mm wheelbase, making it 145 mm shorter overall.

Two Single Motor Options Confirmed

Official regulatory data reveals that the Z9S will launch with at least two single-motor configurations. The entry-level variant uses a rear electric motor that produces a peak output of 320 kW.

A more powerful single-motor version increases the peak output to 370 kW. Both of these rear-wheel-drive variants use a 102.326 kWh battery pack to achieve the maximum 920 km range.

High Performance Powertrains Move Forward

Technical documents also point toward a high-performance three-motor version for the lineup. This tri-motor configuration will reportedly offer a combined output of 890 kW, which is equal to 1,194 hp.

The upcoming production model will likely feature the second-generation Blade Battery from . It is also expected to include the advanced 'God's Eye' driver assistance system.
