GWM teases sporty Ora 5 GT and Sport trim variants in China with aggressive aero kits
New Aero Body Kits and Sporty Exterior Styling
The Ora 5 Sport trim adds subtle styling tweaks to the existing Crossover design. Teaser images show a two-tone paint design with a white roof, larger alloy wheels, red brake callipers, and a roof-mounted LiDAR unit.
The GT trim introduces a far more aggressive look with an extensive aero body kit. It features a prominent front splitter, side skirts, a rear spoiler, and red accents across the body shell and wheels.
Multiple Powertrains and Advanced Driver Tech
Great Wall Motor offers the Ora 5 in pure electric, hybrid, and petrol powertrains. Electric models use a 150 kW front motor with battery options delivering up to 580 km of range.
The vehicle is the first GWM model to feature the Coffee Pilot 3 operating system. This system enables navigation on autopilot and can guide the car through multi-story car parks up to 3 km.
Domestic Deliveries and Market Strategy
The electric version of the Ora 5 delivered 2,789 units in China during June 2026. Domestic monthly sales have stayed below 5,000 units since the Crossover debuted in December 2025.
Company executives hope the addition of the GT and Sport trims will raise consumer demand. The Ora 5 lineup currently starts at 69,800 yuan in the domestic market.
