The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the safety alert for roughly 121,680 units. Affected Appliances carry date codes ranging from December 2018 through December 2020.
The recalled models measure about 58 inches tall, 24 inches deep, and 21 inches wide. They feature three adjustable glass shelves and a separate top freezer door.
Retailers sold these items nationwide at Home Depot stores and online through Amazon. The sales occurred between January 2019 and September 2022 for prices ranging from $330 to $520.
Fire Hazards And Fatal Incident
Internal electrical components inside the recalled refrigerators can short circuit and ignite. This flaw creates a severe risk of property damage, serious injury, or death.
Federal regulators received 34 distinct reports of Fires linked to the Appliances. A local fire department report confirmed one of these incidents resulted in a fatality.
