Ares Design Project1 has officially captured the automotive world's attention by blending retro aesthetics with modern supercar performance. Manufactured in Modena, Italy, the coach-built sports car serves as a striking modern reinterpretation of the legendary De Tomaso Pantera, built upon the rolling chassis of a Lamborghini Huracán.
"The Project1 is designed to be the ultimate expression of our Legends Reborn series, merging classic Italian styling with cutting-edge engineering," the manufacturer noted regarding the vehicle's development and distinctive carbon fibre bodywork.

SubscribeUnderneath its vintage-inspired exterior lies a heavily tuned 5.2-liter Lamborghini V10 engine, upgraded with a new ECU and exhaust system to deliver a staggering 641 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The car retains its all-wheel-drive layout and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which has been recalibrated for sharper responses.
Performance figures match its aggressive styling, with the manufacturer estimating a zero-to-sixty-two acceleration time of just 3.2 seconds and a top speed exceeding 202 miles per hour. Production is strictly limited to 21 units, all of which have already been claimed by eager collectors worldwide.
Inside the Craftsmanship and Exclusive Modena Production
Ares Design Project1 brings an extraordinary level of bespoke craftsmanship to its interior, featuring a retro-inspired cabin completely upholstered in premium Nappa leather and Alcantara. Every vehicle is tailored precisely to individual customer specifications, incorporating lightweight carbon fibre trim throughout the cockpit.
"We wanted the interior to evoke the raw emotion of driving a classic sports car while offering the supreme comfort and technology expected of a modern luxury vehicle," design representatives explained about the custom layout.
The exterior styling introduces a modern twist on historical design cues, most notably featuring functional pop-up headlamps equipped with LED projector lights. This marks a rare return of pop-up headlights to a brand-new production car since models like the Chevrolet Corvette C5 and Lotus Esprit were discontinued.
Hand-built at the company's facility in Modena, Italy, each unit requires an estimated 12 weeks of meticulous assembly. With all 21 production slots filled, the Project1 solidifies its status as a rare modern collectible celebrating Italian automotive heritage.
