BYD Offers Residential Solar Kits Through Brazil Dealership Network
BYD is selling residential solar energy kits across 233 dealerships in Brazil for 3,800 USD alongside the launch of the Song Pro Flex.

Standardised Solar Kit Specifications
The standardised solar kit consists of eight 600 W photovoltaic components with a total installed capacity of 4.8 kWp. The package includes an inverter, supporting structures, cables, and connectors for residential installation.
BYD estimates that the system generates an average of 600 kWh per month depending on operational conditions. Local manufacturing takes place at BYD's plant in Campinas, São Paulo.
Financing Options and Partnerships
The launch coincides with the release of the new Song Pro Flex plug-in hybrid SUV. Customers purchasing the vehicle can access a 36-month instalment plan at 100 USD per month via Banco Santander.
Vehicle owners of any brand can also finance the kit through Banco Santander with interest rates starting from 1.69%. The comprehensive contract covers equipment, installation, grid certification, and insurance.
Integration With Energy Strategy
BYD founder Wang Chuanfu designated solar power stations as one of the company's core new energy directions in 2010. The Campinas plant has achieved a photovoltaic module production capacity of 0.5 GW.
The new Song Pro Flex SUV complements this energy push with Flex Fuel Technology. The vehicle runs on electricity, petrol, or ethanol to target the Brazilian market.
