CATL Plans Global 100 City EV Battery Repair Network
CATL plans to expand its robotic EV battery repair service to 100 global cities by late 2026 to slash repair times and costs.

Global Expansion and Centres
CATL announced its expansion plans at the Ning Day 2026 event held in Haikou, China. Eight directly run Ning Service centres have already begun operations across domestic regions.
Two international centres are also active in Norway and Istanbul. The network currently operates 1,376 franchised service centres across 84 countries worldwide.
Robotic Automation and Costs
The new service centres use automated processes to speed up complex battery repairs. Repair-line robots can cut, paint, and apply adhesive to battery packs without human intervention.
CATL pledged to slash repair costs 10-fold from 100,000 to 10,000 yuan, equal to $14,800 to $1,480 USD. This initiative helps eliminate the costly replacement-only cycle for damaged electric vehicle packs.
Mobile Fleet and Capabilities
Ning Service also demonstrated a fleet of pure electric mobile repair trucks during the event. These vehicles offer an 800 km range and handle up to 90% of non-deep repair scenarios.
The mobile units reduce standard repair times from 72 hours down to 48 hours. They carry out multiple diagnostic items and perform a wide variety of field repairs.
