The 2027 Dodge Charger is rolling out a striking new chapter in American muscle car history by introducing a limited-run heritage paint option called Purple Haze. As the iconic nameplate marks its milestone 60th anniversary since its original 1966 debut, Dodge is leaning heavily into its legendary High-Impact color palette to give buyers an unmistakable aesthetic edge.

"We know Dodge muscle-car customers don't just want to blend in, they want to stand out, just like Charger owners have since 1966," said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO, highlighting the brand's persistent focus on bold personalization and attitude.

Engineered with a high-gloss clearcoat, the new Purple Haze exterior color dynamically shifts depending on the viewing angle and lighting. It presents a vibrant, high-energy violet hue in direct sunlight before transitioning into a much deeper, rich purple tone when the vehicle moves into the shade.

Available across the entire multi-energy 2027 Charger family, the exclusive paint option carries an MSRP of $795 and can be ordered immediately through local dealerships for both coupe, sedan, and all-electric Daytona configurations.

Buyers looking to maximize the retro aesthetic of their 2027 Dodge Charger can pair the Purple Haze hue with an extensive array of factory customization features. These additions include Fratzog dual stripes, a selection of 10 distinct Mopar graphics packages, and a classic Satin Black painted hood.

"Muscle car customers crave color choice, and exterior color selection remains nearly three times more important in the full-size car segment compared to the wider industry," noted brand representatives detailing the strategic rollout of the paint scheme.

Enthusiasts eager to view the paint in person will get their first major public opportunity as a 550-horsepower, SIXPACK-powered Dodge Charger Scat Pack finished in Purple Haze headlines the brand's display at the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals.
