Volvo EX30 owners can now access long-awaited V2L and Plug and Charge functionalities through a newly deployed software update that enhances the electric vehicle's everyday usability. Since its market debut, the compact electric SUV has expanded its lineup with Cross Country and Black Edition variants, while continuously improving its digital ecosystem.
The standout addition is the Vehicle-to-Load, or V2L, technology, which allows the car's battery to power external electrical devices such as laptops, electric bicycles, or camping equipment. Previously restricted to factory-fresh models leaving current production lines, Volvo has addressed owner feedback by enabling the feature retroactively for earlier buyers.

Plug and Charge Simplifies EV Recharging Experience
Plug and Charge capability arrives alongside the V2L rollout to radically simplify public recharging sessions for all current Volvo EX30 drivers across European markets.
Drivers no longer need to navigate smartphone applications or present physical subscription cards at compatible charging stations to initiate power transfers.
The vehicle and the charging station authenticate each other automatically upon plugging in, instantly streamlining the user experience and reducing friction at public energy terminals.
These dual updates reinforce the model's market positioning, offering enhanced versatility and comfort to existing owners while providing a timely spotlight for prospective buyers.
