Crystal Palace secured a dramatic close to the summer transfer window by landing Ben Chilwell, Quinten Timber, and Dario Osorio in a triple signing worth up to £47 million. The South London club acted swiftly on deadline day to bolster manager Pierre Sage's squad across multiple positions.

"It's amazing to be back. It's nice to see some familiar faces, and I'm just really excited to get back in, see the boys and the fans – and get going again," said left-back Ben Chilwell after returning to Selhurst Park on a free transfer from Strasbourg.

Chilwell previously spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Palace, where he played an instrumental role in helping the club capture its first-ever FA Cup trophy. Palace chairman Steve Parish expressed delight at welcoming the experienced England international back to the team on a permanent basis.

In addition to Chilwell's arrival, Palace strengthened their midfield by securing Quinten Timber from Marseille in a £20 million deal. The Dutch midfielder has penned a five-year contract with the Eagles, setting up an exciting Premier League rivalry with his twin brother Jurrien, who plays for Arsenal.

Palace also added Chilean winger Dario Osorio from FC Midtjylland on an initial loan deal containing an obligation to buy for roughly £27.1 million. The club hopes these high-profile additions will propel them forward in both domestic and European competitions this season.

The arrival of three high-caliber players marks a significant statement of intent from the Crystal Palace hierarchy under the leadership of manager Pierre Sage. Club executives worked tirelessly behind the scenes to finalize the deals before the transfer window slammed shut.

"With his experience and quality, Ben played a huge part in us winning our first trophy last year, and it is terrific to welcome him back," said Palace chairman Steve Parish regarding the club's successful deadline day maneuvers.

Palace also welcomed young centre-back Honest Ahanor on a season-long loan from Atalanta earlier in the day, further deepening the defensive options available to the coaching staff. Meanwhile, negotiations regarding other squad members continued to draw significant interest from rival Premier League clubs.
