Manchester United Consider Move for Bouaddi
United want more composure, mobility and long-term quality in central areas. The teenager's stellar performances for Morocco have transformed him from an exciting Ligue 1 prospect into a highly discussed summer target. His calmness in possession and tactical awareness have attracted interest from several leading European clubs.
Reports state that United, City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have all monitored Bouaddi. Representatives from Old Trafford must now decide whether to invest heavily in the player. The club still requires experienced reinforcements capable of making an immediate impact on the squad.
Huge Valuation Creates Difficult Decision
Lille could demand as much as €100m for an immediate transfer this summer. However, reports suggest a deal worth closer to €80m could be considered if the player remains in France on loan for another season. Bouaddi is contracted to the French club until 2029, leaving Lille in a strong negotiating position.
Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly prepared to accept Lille's loan-back condition to secure the deal. Manchester City also remain firmly among the interested parties. This growing competition complicates United's pursuit of the young midfielder.
An Expensive Gamble for the Future
Signing Bouaddi before his development accelerates further could eventually look like excellent business for United. The Moroccan international has the potential to become an elite midfielder. However, spending €80m remains an enormous financial gamble for an 18-year-old.
The structure of the deal means the prospect may not arrive at Old Trafford immediately. United need players who can improve their midfield options for the upcoming season. They cannot rely solely on prospects who will join the squad in 2027 and beyond.
