Thibaut Courtois has returned to Real Madrid training ahead of the new campaign, choosing to report back early to ensure his physical condition is fully optimized. The Belgian goalkeeper wrapped up his World Cup campaign with an injury, prompting him to head back to Valdebebas over the weekend for individual sessions.

"I’ve come back a little earlier because with the injury I wanted to make sure everything was okay by doing individual training before being with the team," Courtois told club media channels. "Today I already did goalkeeper training and I felt very good and happy to be back in training."

The experienced shot-stopper also shared his enthusiasm about reuniting with manager Jose Mourinho, highlighting their previous successful stint together at Chelsea. Courtois praised the Portuguese coach for his strict discipline, emphasis on group cohesion, and direct communication style.

"Mourinho is a coach who demands a lot, discipline, the group before individuals," Courtois stated. "Those are important issues for me to win. He is a great coach and as a human being he is very close. It tells things as they are and I like it."

Real Madrid players are highly motivated to bounce back following consecutive campaigns without a major trophy added to the legendary Santiago Bernabeu cabinet. Courtois emphasized that personal and collective ambitions remain centered on securing silverware for the passionate fanbase.

"We’re really looking forward to it. Personally, I want to win titles. It’s important for the team, the fans and the club to win again," the goalkeeper explained regarding the upcoming challenges.

Addressing the logistical hurdles of a delayed summer schedule caused by the World Cup, Courtois noted that managerial wisdom will help the squad avoid early fatigue and injuries. Proper rest periods granted by the coaching staff will ensure players empty their heads and stay fresh.

With a blend of seasoned veterans and exciting new arrivals stepping into the squad, Real Madrid is poised to pick up a fast pace and fight vigorously for success under Mourinho's command.
