The Arrow McLaren driver fended off fierce challenges from Scott McLaughlin and teammate Christian Lundgaard on the historic Wisconsin oval.
"I've never been in this position before, we just won a race while leading another one. That is pretty crazy," said O'Ward in Victory Lane, highlighting the unprecedented scheduling puzzle forced by previous rain delays.

Championship Tension Mounts for Alex Palou
Alex Palou faced an uphill battle to secure his fifth IndyCar title at Milwaukee as unpredictable track dynamics kept his championship bid on hold. The Chip Ganassi Racing star needed specific points thresholds to close out Kyle Kirkwood but ultimately had to settle for a cautious fifth-place finish.
"The problem is everybody is going to learn quite a bit, so it depends who can learn more," explained David Malukas regarding the intense strategic adjustments required between the day's multiple racing blocks.
Meanwhile, Scott McLaughlin fought through his own frustrations with lapped traffic to secure a hard-earned second place for Team Penske, rounding out an all-Chevrolet podium sweep. Christian Lundgaard similarly celebrated a milestone performance by claiming his career-first oval podium finish for Arrow McLaren.
