The 2027 Jeep Wrangler Smoky Mountain has officially broken cover as Jeep's latest weapon in the fiercely contested off-road market, setting its sights squarely on the rival Ford Bronco lineup. Unveiled at the 14th annual Smoky Mountain Invasion in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, this aggressive blackout variant marks the 10th drop in Jeep's ambitious Twelve 4 Twelve limited-edition series.
"Few places capture the spirit of the Jeep brand quite like Smoky Mountain Invasion," said Jeep CEO Branden Coté during the debut event, highlighting the massive gathering of thousands of passionate trail enthusiasts.

SubscribeUnderneath its menacing dark aesthetics, the special edition retains the robust off-road mechanical foundations of the four-door Wrangler Willys. Buyers benefit from proven trail hardware including standard 33-inch tires, heavy-duty Dana 44 axles front and rear, a locking rear differential, and a responsive 4.10 axle ratio.
Priced at a remarkably modest premium of just $80 over a comparably equipped Willys model, Jeep is making a strong value proposition for enthusiasts who want trail-rated pedigree without breaking the bank. Orders for the vehicle are currently open, targeting buyers looking to stand out from the typical crowd at local trailheads.
Blackout Design Meets Everyday Comfort Features
Visual distinction defines the Smoky Mountain package, separating it from the standard Willys donor vehicle through a series of carefully curated cosmetic upgrades. The exterior features unique 17-inch black wheels, a gloss black front grille, matching body-color fender flares, a body-color hardtop, and distinct hood graphics.
Inside the cabin, designers integrated regional cultural touches, incorporating cloth seats with embossed parachute graphics alongside striking Terracotta accent stitching. Additional cabin refinements include a unique shifter medallion and smoked anodized carbon trim rings that elevate the overall interior ambiance.
Comfort and convenience also receive a welcome boost, with standard equipment packing heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control for open-air adventures.
Available exclusively in a four-door configuration with an automatic transmission paired to either a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder or a 3.6-liter V6 engine, the Smoky Mountain delivers a compelling mix of stealth styling and everyday utility.
