Suzuki introduces free 10-year warranty and battery protection for UK drivers

Suzuki is drastically shaking up automotive aftersales support by rolling out a completely free 10-year Service Activated Warranty for vehicle owners across the UK and Ireland.

Starting from May 1, any Suzuki vehicle that reaches the conclusion of its standard three-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty can now qualify for an extended cover plan valid right up to the car's tenth birthday or 100,000 miles, whichever milestone arrives first.

This ambitious warranty package builds heavily upon Suzuki's previous seven-year scheme, applying directly to any vehicle maintained within the brand's authorised dealer network.

"At Suzuki, customer experience and retention are paramount," stated Denis Houston, Suzuki GB's Director of Aftersales, emphasizing the brand's commitment to delivering high-level service.

Expanding EV Battery Cover and Used Car Access

Alongside the broader vehicle coverage, Suzuki is setting a bold new benchmark for electric vehicles ahead of the autumn launch of its first major EV, the e-Vitara.

The company is promising an industry-leading 10-year warranty specifically dedicated to the electric SUV's battery, outperforming the standard eight-year industry norms enforced by most competitors.

Crucially, this extended coverage is not limited strictly to brand-new vehicle purchases, as the program can also be activated on privately bought used models or cars featuring incomplete service histories.

By simply returning these vehicles to the authorized dealer network for their scheduled maintenance, owners can instantly unlock a fresh 12-month warranty renewal with zero extra cost.
