BMW and fashion brand Kith have collaborated to reveal a unique one-off 2027 BMW X5, marking the fourth chapter of their ongoing creative partnership. The bespoke vehicle made its debut during the prestigious Monterey Car Week, drawing inspiration from the original E53-generation X5 while incorporating modern luxury aesthetics curated by Kith founder Ronnie Fieg.
The exterior of the one-off SUV is finished in a striking Frozen Silver Metallic paint, a deliberate homage to a personal E53 project previously completed by Fieg. While the exterior maintains a clean and relatively restrained look, the vehicle is distinguished by exclusive Kith branding on the sides and rear, paired with a set of custom 23-inch alloy wheels.

SubscribeInside the cabin, the collaboration becomes significantly more pronounced. The standard upholstery has been replaced with black leather featuring embossed Kith logos on both the seats and door panels. Further custom elements include an embroidered Kith crest on the rear center armrest and branded throw pillows, ensuring the fashion house's influence is felt throughout the entire passenger space.
For the driver, the interior features performance-oriented BMW M Carbon Sport seats, which also carry the signature Kith embossed treatment. This high-end cabin configuration serves as the focal point of the build, blending traditional BMW ergonomics with the distinct visual language that has defined previous collaborations between the German automaker and the New York-based streetwear brand.
Engineering and Availability of the Special Build
Under the hood, this unique X5 is based on the xDrive40i platform, utilizing a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine. The powertrain produces a robust 394 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque, with power distributed to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission, ensuring the vehicle performs as well as it looks.
Despite the high level of craftsmanship involved in the project, automotive enthusiasts will not be able to purchase this specific model. BMW has confirmed that this vehicle is strictly a one-off show car intended for promotional purposes and will not be entering production for public sale.
For those interested in the 2027 BMW X5, the standard production versions are expected to begin rolling off the assembly line at BMW's Spartanburg, South Carolina, manufacturing plant later this year. These models will offer consumers the latest updates from the brand, though without the specialized aesthetic modifications featured in the Kith show car.
The Monterey Car Week appearance continues the momentum of the BMW and Kith partnership, which has previously featured restored classic models like the 3.0 CSi and M6. This latest X5 project further cements the relationship between high-end automotive engineering and modern fashion, highlighting how both brands continue to explore creative intersections for their respective audiences.
